The Hibiscus - Flower of Unity and Oneness

What does being in harmony with yourself feel like?

To me it's that sense of lightness, joy and happiness.  When my energy feels heavy, ego is in place and I know that there is something that needs to shift.

I also feel which should see your body as a musical instrument, when something sounds or feels off, you have to take time out to tune it, so that you have all the sounds that you make come together to create musical harmony.

The Hibiscus flower shows up for you when, there is a calling for you to go a little deeper within yourself, she is a flower of deep communication with yourself and others.  Her energy is about oneness, togetherness and unity.  Her stigma and her stamen call in for balance, it's calling that male and female energy to be in harmony with as you continue your quest to walk softly on this land with being at peace with yourself.

Her calling for me was for more feminine energy for myself, wanting me to let my feminine energy and wisdom rise up within me.  Whether you are male or female we all have that inner feminine energy nurturing us and guiding us as we listen more intently to our intuition

This flower showed up for me when I snapped at somebody the other day because I thought I wasn’t being heard, the energy felt very heavy and uncomfortable, it bugged me.  Tuning into the messages of the Hibiscus allowed me to see that the energy of me snapping wasn’t mine at all but someone else’s who is often around me.  Once I realised this and begun working on myself,  and notice the the energy of others around me began to shift.

This involved me questioning myself as I went deeper into what I was feeling.  When you sit still and connect to your breath you are able to feel where emotions are being stored that don't feel right within you.  You can feel where the uncomfortableness sits within your body.

The questions that came forward for me to ask around the situation were:

Do you feel like you’re not being …

heard,

seen or

listened to.

The energy of the Hibiscus is to bring togetherness, a oneness, to create a community and to help you on your personal path to joy and happiness.

When this flower shows up for you, it's to remind you that ….

Your situation involves more than just you and calls on you to look at the energy of the people who are surrounding you too.

So what does that energy look like?

Are the people surrounding you playing a part in your present situation?

Remember loving energy is light and peaceful, ego energy makes you feel heavy and can be overpowering.

If it’s feeling a little heavy and you feel like....

You’re not being taken seriously.
No one seems to hear you.
You can’t even hear your own voice.

This could be down to a need for you to connect to your sacral or root chakra, there are many who don't connect with chakras, so if you feel a little emotional, sensitive, you have lower back ache, feel ungrounded and a little anxious, these are signs to work on the lower area of your body (these are just a few example of what you could be experiencing).  Also, if you're not feeling very sure about yourself/position in life, there could be stuck energy, or you may be taking yourself too seriously.

A couple of things you can you do to aid yourself in this situation is to do some self-cleansing and move around …

  • Balance your root or sacral chakra by doing some lower back, pelvic or hip exercises (there are many other ways you can balance your root chakra eg. focus your attention on the colours red and orange).
  • Dance or move your body around, to release any stuck energy.
  • Laugh, watch something that will make you laugh, or just look at yourself in the mirror, if you find it hard to laugh start off by smiling this will help to uplift yourself.

The energy of the Hibiscus is Unity, reminding us that we are from the same place, our creator, its all about working together to build a community, letting you know that being in harmony with others can be much better than being alone.

For me the work I did around the energy I felt, was focusing on the energy of the Hibiscus flower, I was drawn to the crystal Calcite which helps you to shift energy and to raise the feminine energy in me with movement by dancing and some exercise.  I also focused my attention on those who were surrounding me that my energy was reacting to.  I realised I could not help everybody around me and that I needed start with myself.

Looking at the bigger picture, (what I call the eagle view) helps you to see so much more.  The Hibiscus reminds you that you can change your surroundings, and initiate change.  Remember when you focus on healing yourself you can awaken what needs to be healed in others as well.

Is there something taking place in your life at this moment that you feel you may want to be heard more, people around you are not taking you serious, or you maybe taking yourself much too serious?

Do you feel you may need to feel a little stronger within yourself, with your family, friends or in business?

You can heal the situation by focusing your attention on them or yourself.  Who do you want to work on first?

If you are looking to take an eagle view of your life, there is a lovely Magnolia meditation that you can do in the free meditations section.
